Ultra Low Temperature Resistant, High Strength & High Toughness Ferrite Iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT
★ Material Type and Core Technics
• Ultra Low Temperature Resistant, High Strength & High Toughness Ferrite Iron : QT400-18LT/ EN-GJS-400-18-LT
• Using high purity pig iron as the main raw material, Si is controlled at 1.85% -2.1%, Mn is controlled below 0.1%. The matrix structure must achieve 100% in Ferrite, spheroidization at grade 1-2 and graphite size at grade 6.
★ Core Strength
• Tensile strength exceeds 400MPa and elongation exceeds 18% in both normal and low temperature condition.
• HXW has achieved the low temperature impact power of up to 14J at -40℃ condition and the impact performance is tested on the full casting body instead of separated sample blocks.

★ Material Type and Core Technics
• High Strength & High Toughness Ferritic Solid Solution Strengthened Ductile Iron:QT600-10, QT700-10(ISO1083/JS/600-10)
• Si is controlled below 4.3%, and Mn is controlled below 0.3%. Breeding process and technics need to be strictly controlled.

• Compared with ordinary QT500-7, QT600-3 materials, it has the characteristics of high tensile strength, high yield strength and high elongation.
• Extend tooling life by 35% longer and help to significantly reduce machining cost.
• Increase safety index by 25% and provide possibility for thinner wall casting design, enabling light-weight solution

★ Mass & Stable Production for Thin-Walled Castings
• Thin-walled ductile iron is the direction of light-weight solution.However, thin-walled molds will increase the follow resistance of molten iron in narrow spaces, resulting a rapid drop in temperature of molten iron and thus difficult for molten iron to fill the casting shape. As a result, castings are prone to have many defects including cold shut , inside cut, thickness error and mechanical properties changes.Achieving mass and stable production of thin-walled castings has always been a challenge in the foundry industry.

• By using self-innovated process design, HXW has achieved stable and mass production of a series complex differential carriers with the thinnest wall thickness of less than 5mm, and less than 2.6% overall defects rate.Total 200,000 pieces have been successfully exported, and their end-customers are all fortune 500 companies.
